Warin (Yong) Wattanapornprom

This site collects the doctoral and master's research of Warin (Yong) Wattanapornprom, Department of Computer Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, on evolutionary computation for combinatorial and multi-objective optimization problems under permutation representation. The work centres on the Coincidence Algorithm (COIN), a probabilistic-model search method that learns from both good and poor solutions via a concept the author terms Negative Knowledge, together with earlier research on parallel processing for bioinformatics search (BLAST).

The material below has been reorganized from the original thesis chapters, technical notes, and manuscripts into a single browsable site, with figures recovered from the original Word documents.

PhD Thesis — Chapters

Multi-Objective Combinatorial Optimization with the Coincidence Algorithm: a study of permutation-based representation, negative knowledge, and probabilistic-model search.

Publications & Supporting Manuscripts

Journal manuscript and technical notes produced in the course of the doctoral research.
